Two special exhibitions in Edam museum
Although Edam Museum is small, it is once again hosting not one but two very special exhibitions this year. In the first exhibition we return to the year 1972. In May 2022 it is exactly 50 years ago that the Carilion almost collapsed. To commemorate this event, Edam Museum presents the exhibition Ten to Eleven; The near disaster of the Carillion Tower.
We also come across the Carillion town in the museum’s second exhibition. Edam Museum has drawn on an extensive loan of drawings, paintings and etchings by the artist W.O.J. Nieuwenkamp (1874-1950) to present 50 works depicting towers and temples as the focus of the special exhibition Towers, Temples and Special Structures; recorded by W.O.J. Nieuwenkamp.
Please find more information on these two exhibitions below.
